Hi, I'm Takeru Fujii, and I run a blog specializing in marketing.
I've been running a blog since 2013. Slanderous comments have been written many times.
And finally, even on this blog, which I launched in 2021, I started to receive slanderous comments.
In this article, I would like to share my experiences as a blogger based on my own experiences of being subjected to slanderous comments.Slanderous commentsThe following is an explanation of how to deal with and deal with the problem. It should be helpful for those of you who are wondering what to do now.
Slanderous comments were written on the blog.
A week ago, at 11:00 p.m., a comment was posted on my feeble blog.
I looked at it excitedly and thought, "A comment on this maniacal blog?"
That's extreme...
Before I go any further, let me say that this blog deals with domestic and international marketing information. It is not operated for the purpose of monetization, but for the purpose of personal output of marketing information.
At least, I don't run it with the intention of making a killing as an affiliate.
Some of the tools are introduced as affiliates, but I introduce them with the feeling of, "Well, if you need it, why don't you buy it? If you need it, why don't you buy it?
I don't need to be told to go away. I understand that you hate affiliates so much that you would post such a comment.
I run this site for the purpose of outputting the knowledge and information that I have, and I'm proud to say that I'm putting out content that is at least somewhat useful to marketing geeks.
The reality of online slander
Not only on blogs, but also on social networking sites and YouTube, the Internet is being slandered day and night.
The case of a female professional wrestler who lost her life due to slander on social media is also fresh in our minds.
The ENT I go to has been described in Google reviews as "intimidating," "not hospitable," "sarcastic," and whatever else you want to call it. In reality, it's a very kind and warm ENT.
No matter how diligent you are, you will be written about. What am I supposed to do now?
No matter how carefully you conduct your business, bad word of mouth and unreasonable complaints will come.
What are the criteria for defamation?
I want to think here. What is slander and libel?
- Slander: to speak ill of or criticize another person.
- Slander...unfounded, abusive, and defamatory language.
in this waySpewing out unsubstantiated content that doesn't exist, or bad-mouthing others. This is the definition of slander.
In fact, slander is not a legal term. It is an everyday term that we use in our daily lives. In law, it's often called defamation or discredit.
So, what should you do when someone posts a slanderous comment on your blog? There are two ways. The first is to deal with it legally; the second is to ignore it (stay out of it).
There are only two ways to do this. I will start by explaining how to deal with this legally.
To legally sue for defamatory comments
If you wish to sue for defamatory comments that come to your blogYou need to identify who wrote the comment. The identity of the person who wrote the request for disclosure will be revealed.
At this point, many bloggers give up and say, "Oh, it's quite a hassle.
If the identity of the person is revealed, you, the victim, will have to proceed with a lawsuit for defamation of trust or libel.
If you wish to pursue legal action, you will need to file a damage report with the police.
Here's a quick rundown.
However, what you need to think about is"Cost."It's money. It's money. It costs money to hire a lawyer or to file a lawsuit. It also takes a lot of effort. That's why most bloggers give up.
If you really want to deal with this legally, it is unavoidable, but it is not recommended for most bloggers. I would recommend the second one.
Do not engage with or ignore slanderous comments.
Time is finite. Written on the blogDon't waste your time engaging in anonymous slanderous comments. The time you spend with them is lost. The time you spend with them is just a loss.
In the first place, I believe that anonymous & unidentified comments are not worth 1mg. I'm just a small person who can only throw stones from a safe distance for fear of exposing my real name.
I'm asking for your opinion.Only your own customers. It's a good thing. We listen to the people who actually give us the benefit of the doubt.
I am working on my translation. I listen to my clients as needed. I sell online courses. I listen to the students' feedback to the best of my ability.
However, I try not to listen to any other opinions. There is no end to it.
I also stay away from mine accounts that I clearly shouldn't be involved with on social media.
Characteristics of accounts that you should not engage with on social networking sites
For example, there is a storm of slander on Twitter. While it is easy for anyone to use, there are many accounts that you should not get involved with.
- Initial icons
- Animal Icons
- illustration icon
- initial ID
- I'm participating in Mr. Maezawa's money handout campaign.
- He's retweeting Coke, Famichiki, and sweepstakes tweets.
- He's jealous of others and tweets aggressively.
I try not to get involved with these accounts.
Anonymous on the Internet, the initial icons are only consumed by the involvement.
This may sound harsh. But we have a limited amount of time in our lives. We should reduce the risk of being slandered.
If you are aggressive with your real name account
On the other hand, there are users who use their own face pictures as icons on social networking sites and attack with their real names.
The types of people who reveal their identities and attack you are often "real" and dangerous people. Do not get involved with them. Your life may even be in danger.
At the same time, there are people who bite only with their emotions, abandoning their intellect. Unfortunately, you can't even have a conversation with them. This is a sad fact.
Drawing a line in the sand is not the way to go.The best way to deal with slanderous commentsThis is the first time I've done this. Bloggers, please take note.
[Conclusion] What to do when someone makes a slanderous comment on your blog
Please remember that this is the time. Whenever you get a bad word of mouth or slander about your business, firstAnalyze your "mental state" for yourself.
I wish I could visualize it like the HP (physical strength) bar in games, but I can't really. So, you need to analyze your mental state, even if it's just a little bit.
If your heart is hurt too much to bear, run away or ignore it. That's okay. I take a quick look at slanderous comments and if they are not justified, I leave them alone.
Above all, don't let your own heart be hurt. This is the art of defense against slander on the Internet. You have to learn it if you want to live in this age where the Internet has become the norm.
The person on the other side of the screen.Do not expect too much from morality and ethics. There are people who slander you at will because they cannot see your face. If you expect morality from such people, you will die.
If you are a blogger, I can surely help you.
