"We Don't Need SEO" Why Hire an SEO Company?

"We Don't Need SEO" Why Hire an SEO Company?

Hi, I'm Takeo Fujii. This time, the theme isThe Need for SEOIt is.

Entrepreneurs and business owners who are actually running websites will want to "improve their search rankings.

You want to get a lot of potential customers from the Google search engine.

What I would like to say to business owners and entrepreneurs who are putting effort into SEO is, "SEO is not necessary.

[No need] Why you don't need SEO.

I don't need SEO. If I say this, I will be making enemies with SEO companies in Japan.

But I mean it with all my heart. And to my clients.Don't spend money on SEO."I even told him that I was going to do it.

Why you don't need SEO? Before we talk about this, I'll give you a warning: there are times when you do need SEO.

The only time you need to invest money in SEO is if you already have a mature business.

I am already at the stage where I have exceeded 100 million yen in annual sales. I don't think it's that difficult to get to 100 million yen in sales per year, but most entrepreneurs who ask me for marketing help don't get to 100 million yen per year.

Small businesses should put SEO on the back burner.

There are many small business owners. Some of them are sole proprietors and run a small business by themselves.

If you're wondering if those people should be spending a lot of money on SEO at this point, I think not.

The business has already matured and is growing in size. If you have a number of employees and your business has grown significantly over the years, you can invest money in SEO.

However.Sole proprietors, entrepreneurs, and business owners who run small businesses don't need SEO.Not necessary.

It is not necessary at all, especially if you are in the process of starting your own business.

SEO is not a priority.

No need for SEO, it's low priority and unnecessary.

Why do we not need SEO? The reason is simple. Because there are other things to do first.

Whether you hire an SEO company or do your own SEO, there is a lot to do before you can do it.

Why do you want to do SEO in the first place?

SEO is one of the "means of attracting customers". To attract potential customers to purchase your products or services. That's why we use SEO to attract customers!

In other words, SEO is just the act of gathering potential customers from Google.

You can attract potential customers from other platforms such as social networking sites and YouTube. There are many ways and mediums. In other words, SEO is only one of the ways to attract customers.

So what should be the priority? It is profit.

Profit over SEO

Increase business profits even with large SEO distances

What should take priority over SEO is the shortest way to make a profit. We recommend that you focus your efforts on sales.

In my blogs and videos, I often explain techniques and tools. However, in the beginning of your business, you don't even need those techniques and tools.

The first step is to sell. The goal is to sell as many of your products and services as possible.

If you think about it, that is, you don't need SEO. A single LP and the cost of advertising is enough to make a sale.

For small business entrepreneurs, SEO is a very low priority.

SEO is tedious and difficult.

Also.Even when you do SEO on your own, it's a painstaking process. It is.

This is because SEO is not a simple task either. SEO can be divided into two categories: internal SEO and external SEO.

When doing internal SEO, you have to pay attention to the way you list, include, and select keywords, as well as the insertion of internal links.

Also, in the case of external SEO, buying paid links will cost you a lot of money, and even creating satellite sites is a hassle.

Most importantly, the rules of SEO change quickly. Because search engine algorithms are constantly changing.

Algorithm changes can upset search rankings.

SEO and search engine algorithms

I've been there; there was a "health update" in 2017 that changed the whole SEO landscape.

This health update is an algorithm update by Google that caused websites with medical and health-related content to drop in rankings all at once.

Articles from medical professionals and medical institutions rose in the search rankings, while other articles considered less reliable fell across the board. It also dropped significantly.

Some of the cases were even impossible to find when searching.

In other words.Suddenly, conventional SEO strategies will no longer work.So there are also.

The deeper you get into SEO, the more you have to keep up with and respond to this kind of information. ...Is this a job for a busy business owner?

Entrepreneurs and managers are busy.

Entrepreneurs and business owners are very busy. There are many business owners who are busy with the work that needs to be done. They are full of people who are desperate to secure monthly sales and are moving around until the end of the month.

With such a busy life, it's quite difficult to focus on SEO.Many of us have to cut back on the time we spend with our families. In such a situation, there is no time to do SEO.

Regardless of SEO, the world of marketing is a rapidly changing one. If you're in the industry, you know that all marketing trends change quickly, whether it's SEO, advertising, or sales techniques.

It is not unusual for a method that worked six months ago to not work now.

Therefore, if you follow SEO information, you have to keep up with it constantly. You have to read SEO articles every day, and study not only domestic, but also international trends.

In other words, it's hard. That's why.You don't need to put much effort into SEO.This is the first time I've done this.

SEO costs are high

Just one more thing to add.

SEO is basically expensive. It will cost you quite a bit of money if you ask for it.

If you do SEO on your own, there is no cost. But it does take effort.

If you hire an SEO company, you will have to pay 150,000 yen per month, or even more.

If you ask to increase the search rankings of an article on your site for a specific keyword, the amount of money can be tremendous, depending on the keyword.

There are some bad SEO companies out there.

In the case of my client, he asked an SEO company to help him, and as a result, he was penalized by Google and his search rankings dropped.

When I consulted with SEO companies, they said, "We don't know. We do not receive any fees. We also provide this measure for free," in other words, "It's not our responsibility.

Some SEO companies offer a pay-for-performance system where they charge a fee when your website rises in the rankings.

In other words, even if you do it for free and get penalized by Google, you're agreeing to it, aren't you? That's what he said to me.

Another business owner hired a contractor and was charged 1.2 million yen a year for SEO, and when he cancelled the contract, his search rankings dropped dramatically.

I don't deny that we charge high fees. I don't condemn it because there is nothing wrong with seeking profit as a business. However. Some SEOs have to say, "That's a bit of a quandary..."

And above all, it is wrong for a small business to spend a lot of money on SEO. It is better to spend money on advertising to generate sales. Offline face-to-face sales are much more effective.

I do not recommend my clients to spend money on SEO in the beginning.

If you want to do SEO, it is enough to know only the basic SEO strategies that you can do yourself.

The minimum amount of SEO you should do.

SEO for blogs only needs to be basic.

So what are the basic SEO strategies? I'll tell you briefly. What we are doing is very simple.

What I'm doing.

  • Creating a site with WordPress
  • Make sure the site displays fast.

These are the only two things you need to do. First, just installing WordPress is enough to function as an SEO strategy.

Matt Cutts, the former head of the Google search engine's anti-spam team, also"WordPress is great for SEO."I explained.

It is also important to keep the site lightweight. We try to make it fast, so that when you open the website, the page will load immediately.

I don't send a lot of backlinks or pay a lot of money for external SEO, I just do the basics of a website.

In this day and age, my website is viewed on a smartphone, not a computer.

That's why I focus more on the readability of my site on a smartphone or tablet than any SEO measures I can put in place.

SEO tools should be free too.

Small businesses don't need SEO.

By the way, there are only two SEO tools that I have signed up for now. One is a tool to check the search rankings of keywords (Ahrefs), and the other is a WordPress plugin for SEO (Squirrly SEO).

That's it. I have a paid tool for SEO, but it doesn't matter if it's paid or free. Free is fine.

There are many free WordPress plugins for SEO, such as All in One SEO, Rank Math, and Yoast SEO, which are both free and excellent. You can just add the free SEO plugins and do some basic settings.

The difference between paid and free is applicability. Paid SEO tools allow for applied settings. But applied settings are not necessary for a small business, right?

So.The basics of free SEO tools are enough.I'm not sure.

In addition, the tool I use to check the search rankings of keywords (Ahrefs) is also not really necessary.

Websites and blogs that have not yet grown as media do not have much access. In addition, they are not at a stage where they should be concerned about whether their rankings are going down or up.

Checking your search rankings every day in the early stages of your business is not a task you should do. You should do it when your media is growing. When you think about it, there are only a few SEO strategies that you really need.

You only need to start with the basics. No need for applied SEO.

[Conclusion] Small businesses don't need to do SEO.

SEO is hard, don't get too deep into it.

In this article, I explained the theme of "No need for SEO".

Entrepreneurs who run a small business do not need SEO. For companies running mature businesses, it is a good idea to invest an amount of money in SEO.

In fact, if you become a mature business, you have no choice but to change your SEO and other policies.

In other words, the size and maturity of your business will determine how much SEO you should do.

And be careful if you ask for SEO services.SEO companies can be malicious in some cases.Find out the reputation, the reality, and the hidden fees before you make a request.

To add to this, the "track record" of businesses in the world, not just SEO companies, is artificially created.

Many companies often make a big show of saying, "Our company's track record is so great," but in reality, they only pick up the voices of satisfied customers and do not add bad reputations or reviews to their track record.

Testimonials are extremely artificial. Don't be misled by the reputation that comes up by googling.

At least, small business entrepreneurs don't need SEO.

First of all, you need to prioritize measures for selling.

I'll see you next time. Thank you very much for your time.
